Motology School Inc.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026 Location: Calgary, Alberta

At Motology School Inc., we provide elite, safety-critical training in a high-demand, seasonal industry. To maintain our standard of excellence and ensure instructor availability, we adhere to the following strict financial and scheduling protocols.

1. Payment Requirements & Deadlines

  • Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your training slot. This deposit covers administrative setup and the allocation of specialized equipment.

  • Full Payment: Remaining fees must be paid in full a minimum of 30 days prior to the course start date.

  • Forfeiture for Non-Payment: If the full balance is not received by the 30-day deadline, your registration will be automatically cancelled, and your initial 50% deposit will be forfeited as liquidated damages.

2. Cancellation & Refund Limitations

  • Non-Cancellable Deposit: The initial 50% deposit is strictly non-refundable and non-cancellable from the moment of registration.

  • 30-Day Hard Window: Motology School Inc. does not accept cancellations within 30 days of the course start date.

  • Forfeiture: Any cancellation attempt made within 30 days of the course start date, or failure to attend the course, will result in the forfeiture of 100% of the course fees.

  • Refund Eligibility: In the event that a partial refund is granted (outside of the 30-day window and subject to management approval), refunds are only applicable to the actual currency payment received. Refunds strictly exclude the value of discounts, vouchers, gift cards, or any other promotional credits used at the time of booking.

3. Rescheduling Policy

We provide flexibility for students who need to adjust their dates, provided it does not compromise our operational viability:

  • Notice of More than 30 Days: You may reschedule your course to a future date free of charge (subject to availability).

  • Notice of Within 30 Days: Rescheduling within the 30-day window is subject to:

    1. A $75.00 rescheduling fee per occurrence.

    2. Availability in the requested future session.

    3. Viability Clause: The requested future course must already have at least one (1) other student registered. We do not permit rescheduling into “empty” blocks that do not meet our minimum instructional threshold.

  • Limit: Rescheduling is permitted a maximum of one (1) time. Subsequent requests will be treated as a cancellation and all fees will be forfeit.

4. Prerequisites & Readiness (Exclusion for Non-Compliance)

To ensure the safety and quality of the “Motology Method,” the following requirements are mandatory. Failure to comply will result in dismissal from the session and forfeiture of all fees:

  • Licensing: Students must hold a valid Alberta licensing prerequisite (Class 7 minimum) at the start of the course.

  • Safety Gear: Students are responsible for arriving with mandatory safety gear as outlined in our Gear Guide, or are able to utilize available gear from Motology School. Failure to wear appropriate gear as determined by the Instructor will result in exclusion.

  • Substance Zero-Tolerance: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for impairment. If an instructor suspects a student is under the influence of any substance (legal or illegal) or is physically/medically unfit to operate a motorcycle safely, the student will be expelled immediately.

  • Non-Transferability: Registrations are non-transferable. You may not sell, gift, or assign your spot to another individual.

5. Punctuality & Dismissal

  • Late Attendance: Safety briefings are mandatory. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late to a classroom or on-lot session without prior notice, the instructor reserves the right to exclude the student to protect the safety of the class.

  • Dismissal for Disruption: Instructors reserve the absolute right to expel any student from the property for disruptive behavior or safety violations. In such cases, all course fees are strictly forfeit.

6. School-Initiated Adjustments

  • Postponements: If Motology must postpone a session due to hazardous weather (snow, ice, extreme winds) or unforeseen instructor emergencies, students will be provided a priority reschedule at no cost. Motology is not responsible for any personal travel or accommodation costs incurred.
